Held annually from July to August at Daecheon Beach in Boryeong City, Chungcheongnam-do Province, this festival is recognized as the world’s largest summer festival where people of all nationalities, languages, and ages come together as one to enjoy this hands-on experience. In 2025, the 28th Boryeong Mud Festival will be grandly held for 17 days from Friday, July 25th to Sunday, August 10th.

- Experience Zone Hours:
- Weekdays (Mon-Thu): 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Weekends (Fri-Sun): 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Weekend maintenance time: 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM (no entry allowed)
Admission Fees
- General Zone: From 10,000 KRW
- Family Zone: From 9,000 KRW
- Online pre-booking only sells 30% of daily capacity, with 70% sold on-site, so tickets are available for purchase at the venue even when online sales are sold out

By Train
- Route: Yongsan – Yeongdeungpo – Suwon – Pyeongtaek – Cheonan – Asan – Onyang Oncheon – Yesan – Sapgyo – Hongcheon – Gwangcheon – Daecheon
- From Daecheon Station, take city bus routes 100 or 101 to reach Daecheon Beach where the festival takes place

Things to Do Near Boryeong Mud Festival
Daecheon Beach Sky Bike
If you’re visiting Daecheon Beach, the Sky Bike is a great complementary activity to enjoy.
You can ride bikes along a 2.3km round-trip rail from Daecheon Beach to Daecheon Port for about 40 minutes.
This is a place where you can see the scenery of Daecheon’s coastal waters at a glance, recommended for those who want to heal with an open view.

Boryeong Mud Theme Park
This is Chungnam Province’s first hybrid theme park combining convention center facilities for meetings, forums, and workshops with mud experience facilities.
At the Mud Festival & Cosmetics PR Center, you can learn about Korea’s representative festival, the Boryeong Mud Festival, and the Ocean Therapy brand Boryeong Mud Cosmetics.

Optimal Visit Times
- Weekend Visits: More performances and events available, but expect larger crowds
- Weekday Visits: Relatively more relaxed experience opportunities
- Arrive at Opening Time: Arriving at the mud experience zone right at 9:30 AM opening can reduce waiting times
Safety Guidelines
- Warm-up exercises are essential before water activities or mud experiences
- No experiences allowed after drinking alcohol
- Be careful not to get mud in eyes, nose, mouth, or ears in the mud experience zones
- Be cautious as the inside of mud experience zones can be slippery
